Gregor Strojin

CAHAI Ad hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence


Gregor is the President of the Ad Hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence at the Council of Europe (CAHAI), which is currently mandated with the preparation of a feasibility study and elements of a legal framework for the design, development and application of AI, based on Council of Europe standards on human rights, democracy and the rule of law. Gregor is a Slovenian jurist with over 20 years of experience in the crossroads of justice, technology and information. Primarily working with the Supreme Court of Slovenia, he was engaged on a number of acclaimed transformation projects in court, case and justice management, nationally and internationally. He also served as the State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice of Slovenia, is a member of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) and of the CEPEJ-GT-CYBERJUST working group, and is collaborating with the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence under the auspices of UNESCO (IRCAI).
